Problems relating to encryption

Browsing – it is slow to load each of the pages because there will be a lot of users on at a time as well as the fact that each individual page needs to be fully encrypted before moving to the next.

Digital certificate keys- these work like encryption keys. For small businesses who do not have the resources or technical ability to create their own encryption digital certificate keys do it for them however there is a large cost involved.

Payment gateway issues – similarly to the digital certificate keys, payment gateways are expense to set up. There is also the risk of hacking the system as well as some using the encryption for fraud. This means that the system might not be fully secure, either intentionally or not, and the information but inputted but the user can be used to gain money. Even if it is not the company who are using the information for fraud it will still be there responsibility because they set up the encryption.

Firstly there is the issue involved with cost as the majority of these applications' do cost quite a bit for the benefits they provide - this can especially be an issue in the case for a business which has a low budget.

Not only that but problems arise in the form of Fraud. With a lot of these encryption apllications there are mistakes made or deliberate deciving methods are used. Especially considering that the tasks involve the exchange of money and/or confidential data.

Browsing – On some browsers, information needs to be entered and then encrypted for security reasons. A problem related to this is If a lot of information has to be encrypted all at once, pages may be slow and take a while to load.

Digital Certificate Keys – These are like encryption keys. Businesses use these in order to protect their data. A problem related to this is that there is a large cost.

Payment Gateway – A payment gateway is the equivalent of a POS (Point Of Sale) terminal located at retail outlets. It is an e-commerce application service provider service that authorizes payments for e-businesses, online retailers, etc. Many payment gateways also provide tools to automatically screen orders for fraud. A problem related to this is that there is a large cost involved.

I am just familiar with the concept of digital certificate keys and to my knowledge the only problem with this method is that its very expensive to opt. But the above posted comments helped me to learn about rest of the topics.
